Rubber Roofing
Firestone RubberCover EPDM is a high-performance roofing system for residential flat roofing applications limited to 150 m².
Based on an EPDM synthetic rubber membrane with a life expectancy of over 50 years, it is one of the most durable and sustainable roofing systems on the market. It is compatible with a wide range of substrates, making it perfect for renovations as well as new build projects.
In short, RubberCover EPDM is designed to stand the test of time and bring peace of mind to homeowners.
Features & benefits
Superior durability
The RubberCover EPDM membrane has excellent resistance to UV, ozone, microorganisms and severe weather conditions. It can elongate over 300% to accommodate building movements and temperature fluctuations, retaining its physical properties over several decades. Additions like skylights or extensions can be integrated easily without affecting the system’s performance.
Easy installation
RubberCover EPDM is lightweight, flexible, easy to work with and allows a short installation time. It comes in large sheets which can cover most residential roofs in one piece without any field seaming. The rolls are easy to handle and store and there’s no need for special tools. Provided the structure is sound, RubberCover EPDM can be used on virtually any new or existing flat roof.
Flame-free
No flame is needed to install the RubberCover EPDM system. The membrane is simply adhered to the substrate using a contact adhesive. This cold application process thoroughly minimizes the risk of fire accidents.
Very low life-cycle cost
Once installed, RubberCover EPDM membranes require no or only little maintenance. Combined with the membrane's inherent durability and competitive installed cost, this results in a very low life-cycle cost.
Environmentally friendly
Due to its exceptional durability, easy maintenance and suitability for recycling, RubberCover EPDM is one of the most eco-friendly roofing products on the market. Several third-party studies have proven that EPDM membranes have a lower environmental impact compared to other roofing membranes. RubberCover EPDM membrane is chemically inert and releases no toxic ingredients, making it suitable for the recuperation of rainwater for sanitary use. In addition, the system is compatible with extensive green roofs and photovoltaic systems, further contributing towards a sustainable environment.
What is GRP Roofing?
GRP Roofing is one of the most reliable and cost effective roofing options on the market today.
Also known as Fibreglass Roofing, it uses quality materials to help make it weatherproof and requires little to no maintenance, making it a perfect choice for any home.
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) is a fantastic material for waterproofing, keeping the weather outside and protecting the contents of your home in the process. The tough and hard-wearing nature of GRP Roofing should last for 30 years, which explains why it has become one of the most popular roofing options over the last few years.
Why Should You Use GRP Roofing?
With GRP Roofing, you can enjoy choosing from a range of colours and finishes to best suit your home, with options such as Havana Brown, Dark Battleship Grey and Lead Green available. Being able to find a colour will help the roof to blend in with the rest of the house, giving it a slick look that complements the appearance of your home.
There is no need to worry about different roof shapes either, as the material can easily moulded to perfectly fit the shape of any roof. This kind of flexibility is another reason why Fibreglass is becoming the number one choice for flat roofing
GRP Roofing can be used for both domestic and commercial properties, being suitable for the likes of sheds, garages, extensions and balconies as well as schools and hospitals.

Ventilation
Provide a wide range of ventilation options to enable architects, specifiers and contractors to select the most appropriate solution for providing ventilation for a particular design. Our strength lies in our ability to supply the market with high-quality universal vents, simplifying specifying, stocking and installation.
Whenever non-breather underlays are used on pitched roofs, it is essential to provide cross ventilation of the roof voids in order to avoid condensation. For some more complex roof shapes and mono-pitched roofs, tile ventilators may be needed to ensure there are no stagnant air pockets in any part of the roof. Our wide range of high quality roof vents provide ventilation for both cold and warm pitched roofs, and are available in different specifications and colours to fit in with any roof design.
